The Mission
Hivemind | Hapori Āwhina is a service to support kaimahi in the helping and healing professions, and the organisations that employ them. We target varying levels of need by expanding communities of care and reflection across our industries, uplifting and empowering our colleagues in dedicated teams and groups, and offering individual support in times where collegial warmth and understanding can help us through the ebbs and flows of our working lives.
About Hivemind
The Promise
We are inclusive - members of all faith, ethnic, and cultural communities are welcomed and affirmed through everything we do.
We are decolonising - our mahi is kaupapa Māori forward and uplifting of allies of Māoritanga.
We are gender/sexuality affirming – all expressions of sexuality and gender are welcomed at our offerings.
We are neuroaffirmining – we embrace processing and functioning differences, sensory needs, and requirements for safe space among our neurodiverse community members.
The Benefits
Organisations will notice lowered costs around turnover and the subsequent training of new kaimahi as attrition rates decline, lowered risk profiles as kaimahi avoid the experience of burnout which raises risk in social service organisations, and heightened workplace and career satisfaction as organisations grow more confident, capable and resilient teams who delight in their work and lift their organisations to higher levels of effectiveness and outreach. Individuals will be enriched, encouraged, and recharged to continue our much needed work in the world.
